Not to be outdone by the New York Post and their high-paid columnist, we present Adena Connolly, 24, a barfly blogger living a pathological lifestyle of LA style glam poverty. Or if you just want to hang out and smoke weed that’s cool too.”No optimistic, opportunistic hipster grifter, Adena is a real deal denizen of the demimonde who recently escaped abduction by a crack dealer she met in Downtown’s vomet-stinking 107 Bar. “Blogging has been fruitful. When I was homeless my blog fans housed me” Adena told us when interviewing for the gig. College introduced Adena to a love of Russian literature and cocaine. Post-rehab, she’s given up drugs for booze. Now shacked up in a Koreatown apartment with her “sober buddy” she writes sex toy reviews, drinks and when she makes a score, goes in search of adventure. This is our type of correspondent whose writing needs to be encouraged. “Ultimately, writing is the only stabilizing component in my life. Its my one aspiration, even when that’s meant seemingly imminent death.”
