With the equivalent of four army divisions of journalists now freed from corporate media restraint, we hoped another chapter in Rudy’s quixotic quest for higher office would have someone join lone investigative reporter Wayne Barrett untangle scandals Rudy evaded by the 9/11 attacks that razed the World Trade Center.  With his prison warden incarcerated, we could have turned to examining a cartoonish cast of yes-men Rudy surrounded himself for further enlightenment on the administration that made New York City un-liveable.  We almost hurled when a babe at La Poubelle dropped the “he cleaned up New York” line, while we sat through countless court cases against the city, saw mom and pop shops driven from town,  Bronx schools without texts,  tracts of toxic brown field industrial Brooklyn turned to lux housing, dancing in bars prohibited….Legman has to put his feet in the fire and write the book already. For now we’d just like to call out Rudy’s overlooked association with flipped wig radio host Curtis Sliwa, appointed to the overlooked Entartete Kunst “decency” committee. Rudy in power would have stuck the guy in the National Endowment for the Arts.
