We hear life is upbeat for survivors, relocated in that catch basin of American woe, Vegas. And while we’re cranking on the true tale of woe we’re calling the fall of the house of Jello, the images Legman captured stand on their own. Above, Techno Destructo don’t play.

We’ve been busy with our new project, producing news features and reporting from the streets on the Truthdig Radio show streaming live and archived at KPFK and today at 2:00pm Pacific Time we’re visiting The Green Jello house. Does the band name resonate? Kind of a Spinal Tap reaction for most as a lot remember their MTV video “The Three Little Pigs” but many wonder where are they now? America Must Be Destroyed, the seminal album from GWAR used to amuse us 20 years back. Finding out the monstrously costumed metal band is our next door neighbor in Hollywood is more amusing. The band dwells along with Green Jello in a sprawling former half way house among an arcade of console video machines and walls encrusted with toy figures and last night we swung by for a bash celebrating their recent tour. After catching opening band Psycho Stick moving walls of metal sound at us in the liiving room we took in Radioactive Chicken Head who carry on the foam rubber costume thing and have a bad ass accordionist. And then we stumbled the 15 foot trip home. Pictures to come.
